The Barren County Clerk’s Office has been designated an official Passport Acceptance Facility by the United States Department of State.  Barren County residents and community members (and surrounding counties and communities) are now able to apply for a U.S. Passport and/or Passport Card directly through our office.                                                  As a Passport Acceptance Facility, we are authorized to receive your completed application for a U.S. Passport and submit the application along with all necessary documentation to Passport Services.  Passport Services (of the U.S. State Department) will then determine eligibility for a U.S. Passport.  It is important to note that only the U.S. Department of State can make the final decision to issue a passport to an individual.                                                          We are happy to provide the necessary forms required to apply for a U.S. Passport, as well as other passport-related forms and field any questions regarding the passport process. 

We are also authorized to accept applications for the U.S. Passport Card. 

Passport books and/or cards may be used as alternatives to a state-issued REAL ID for domestic travel!

Be Aware of websites that ask for payment to complete DS-11 applications for New Passports! ONLY complete applications attained through the U.S. Department of State website, ending in .gov!
